Opening of Kebun Baru Satay Club and Christmas Celebration
Residents of Kebun Baru came together on 19 December 2025 to celebrate the official opening of the Kebun Baru Satay Club at Block 173 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4, alongside a joyful Christmas celebration filled with food, games and laughter.
The newly opened Satay Club now offers residents a shared venue for barbecue gatherings, badminton and pickleball games, as well as beautiful landscaping and greenery for relaxation.
Families and neighbours enjoyed a festive spread that included freshly grilled food from the barbecue pits, bento dinner sets, ice cream, hot dog buns and souvenirs. The aroma of barbecue filled the air as residents gathered around the grills, creating a warm and lively atmosphere for the evening.

MP for Kebun Baru SMC, Mr Kwek Hian Chuan Henry, who joined residents at the event, shared the vision behind the new community space.
“The Satay Club took a little longer to open as we worked closely with a Landscape Consultant to reimagine this underused area into a welcoming space for residents. Today, it is a place where neighbours can come together to bond, play sports and enjoy the surrounding greenery.”
To improve accessibility to the space, MP for Kebun Baru SMC, Mr Kwek Hian Chuan Henry, also shared that there are plans to install a lift at the end of the covered walkway, so that residents do have to climb a flight of stairs to reach the second floor. The lift installation is expected to commence around mid-2026, making the Satay Club more accessible and convenient for residents, especially seniors and families with young children.

The Christmas celebration brought extra cheer, where children took part in badminton games and the spraying of artificial “snow”.
The opening of the Kebun Baru Satay Club marks another step towards strengthening community bonds and creating meaningful shared spaces for our residents.
